Rosangels Silvestre's Faces of Nature
FACES of NATURE, Rosangela Silvestre's always evolving solo work, will be presented at Dance Mission Theater in conjunction with special guests and
FACES of NATURE takes the audience on a journey exploring the artistic expression of the Orixas; the spirits or deities of the Yoruba traditions that traveled from Africa to the New World.
In her Orixa Dance classes, Rosangela and her students explore the movement and rhythm together. In Faces of Nature, Rosangela offers the beautiful artistic representation of the Orixas in its fullest expression.
This is a beautiful and deeply movng experience. Not just a performance, the event is interactive in nature and concludes with a discussion period between Rosangela and attendees.
