Papa Echo 29 is delighted to present An Evening with Hazel O' Connor
The first major female star of the 80s, Hazel OConnor rose to fame in 1980 starring in the film Breaking Glass which spawned the singles "Eighth Day" and "Will You", famous for its poignant lyrics and haunting saxophone solo.
In this very special up-close and personal evening in which her unique voice delivers a renewed passion and fire ,Hazel explores a stunning repertoire of old and new songs and stories. Accompanied here by virtuoso saxophonist Clare Hirst (The Belle Stars, Communards, David Bowie) on sax and vocals and Sarah Fisher (Eurythmics) on keyboards and vocals; this powerful blend of voices and musicianship brings a classy touch of energy to Hazels vibrant performance. With a special Meet and Greet after you're in for a treat. Unmissable!
Ste Greenall, for Papa Echo 29, said As a group of mates in Huntingdon, we brought some top entertainment to the town last year. And we are doing it again. Hazel, Clare and Sarah will get a very warm welcome from our audience, and we hope everyone enjoys what will be a fabulous mixture of music and conversation."
Hazel recently celebrated 35 Years of Breaking Glass with a major city tour which included a sold out date at Union Chapel in London".
