HOW THE SALTS GOT DOWN: a family history in parties
You know the Salts, right? They're your neighbors down the street, your mom's best friend from high school, those kids you always saw at the park on Saturdays. They're throwing a dance party (or three) and you're invited, so put on your dancing shoes. art party has teamed up with playwrights Nastaran Ahmadi (Exile), David Ingber (Fantasy Football: the musical?), and christopher oscar peña (Goodman Playwriting Fellow) to tell three stories about one family. Each playwright curates a dance party for audience and actors alike. We will have drinks, snacks, and a killer set of songs to groove to so you should come blow out the candles on mom Molly's 25th birthday, welcome Uncle Walter back from jail, and celebrate daughter Monica's (surprise) pregnancy - you can follow the stories or just get down with your bad self. Like all art parties, it will be nothing if not unpredictable (catch that triple negative? The show will be unpredictable.)
