Snap on 2&4 w/ Christina Watson
Saturday, February 11, please join us in welcoming superb vocalist Christina Watson back to the Jazz Cave for Snap on 2&4.

Originally from southeastern Kentucky, Christina moved to Nashville in 2001 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Since her arrival in Music City, her versatile voice of 3+ octaves and love of all cultures have gained her entry into a wide array of musical situations, including appearances at various jazz festivals and at numerous venues in the US, France, Belgium and Sweden. She has released three CD's as a leader - 2004's "All About Love," 2008's critically acclaimed "A Flower Truly Blue," and in 2014, her latest CD" Passage". Christina also sings soprano in the Nashville based vocal jazz quartet 3rd Coast Vocals.

Christina has recently begun working as Vocal Jazz Professor at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, where she directs the Blair Jazz Choir and teaches private jazz voice lessons. She is a frequent guest vocalist with the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, the big band with which she has recorded two albums. Christina is soprano section leader and soloist at the First Lutheran Church in downtown Nashville. She also leads her own a cappella women's group, the Nashville Belles, which performs locally to benefit a different charity each year.

Joining Christina for the February 11 performance will be Don Aliquo (saxophone), Lori Mechem (piano), Roger Spencer (bass), and Chester Thompson (drums).
