With a wink to the past, Modern Vaudeville is a new comedy, variety, music and talk show experience featuring the Twin Cities top performers. In March, the lineup will include comedian Greg Coleman, hula-hoop artist Mark Radcliffe, and music from The Federales. The variety show is produced and hosted by Midwest Emmy Award Winning comedian/magician David Harris. Hula-Hoop Artist Mark Radcliffe will be featured on this months show. Radcliffe is a company member of The Wicked Wenches Cabaret and a student/instructor at Expertease Fitness in Northeast Minneapolis. He is also a co-captain of The Experteasers dance line. Mark has been self-trained in Hula-hooping for 10 years and has traveled and performed at concerts, music festivals and other venues around the region. He is classically trained in Ballet and Jazz which has heavily influenced his performance style. Mark also performs burlesque, poi, staff, and the fire arts. He studies Lyra, Silks, Trapeze, and Cyr Wheel in his spare time. He is also an employee at Sociable Cider Werks in his spare-spare time. Comedian Greg Coleman will appear on the bill. Coleman has been active in the Minnesota comedy scene since 2012. Coleman was voted Best Comic of 2012 at the MN Comedy Awards, was acknowledged as a Breakout Performer at the ABFF Comedy Competition in Los Angeles, CA. The Growler magazine named Coleman on of their Top 5 Comics to watch in 2016. Coleman has gained a reputation as a strong performer, with a twisted point of view and fun stories from his many years working in education. On stage, Coleman comes across as cool, confident, and comfortable.
Music group, The Federales, will round out the lineup. The Federales are from the Twin Cities and are classic country for the modern world. They use their unique brand of alt-country to tell their stories of love, good times, Grain Belt, and friends. The Federales are: Andres Crovetti on drums, James Gould on electric guitar, Ben Miller on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals, Jay Scabich on fiddle, Andy Schuster on upright bass and Karl Wahoske on banjo, acoustic guitar and vocals. The Federales have received rave reviews from 89.3 The Current, the City Pages and from many more press outlets. About Host David Harris: David Harris is a Midwest Emmy award winning comedian/magician who has performed across the U.S. and Canada for over 20 years. Based in his hometown of the Twin Cities, David tours internationally for corporate events, colleges, and clubs, delivering his fun, neurotic, and interactive take of comedy and magic. For his efforts, David was most recently asked to be a part of Minneapolis prestigious 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival and invited back to perform in the highly coveted Minnesota Fringe Festival both by his peers in 2016. David has also appeared to rave reviews on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC TV affiliates across the Upper Midwest, and he has even scored two Midwest Emmy's for co-producing and co-starring in the comedy TV show, "Nate On Drums," which appeared in 2005-06 on Minneapolis-St. Pauls KSTC.TV, Channel 45. If that werent enough, David has also co-starred in several online award-winning videos and TV commercials. Plus, hes worked with some of the best in the business including comedy greats Louie Anderson, Bobby Slayton, and Mary Lynn Rajskub.
