Brazilian Gems in Today's Market
The Houston GIA Alumni Chapter with the AGS Guild of Houston invite you to attend an evening lecture with David Epstein who will be sharing his special insights into the world of fine Brazilian gemstones.
David Stanley Epstein is a native New Yorker who has traveled around the world trading gems. He has lived in the heart of the most intensive mining region of Brazil since 1983. His credits include being a gem consultant to the People's Republic of China and a foreign editor of Colored Stone Magazine. He is also a renowned gem sculptor and cutter. Mr. Epstein has been published in the Lapidary Journal, Joyas y Joyeros (Madrid) and other gem and jewelry publication. He has been written about in Jewelers' Circular Keystone, Modern Jeweler and other North American, Asian, European and South American publications.
At present, he resides in Teofilo Otoni, Brazil, the gem cutting center of South America and tours, on occasion, giving lectures, speeches, and seminars worldwide.
