Weds, Nov.7 & 21st:
THE HONKY TONK REVUE The Honky Tonk Revue began 18 years ago with a desire to play the music of Hank Williams and The Drifting Cowboys. Most of the players are in several bands but by scheduling off nights during the fall season all these years they've made it work. Hank's music is just great dance music. The songs never fade and the singing is still moving. The band tries to keep it authentic including having no drums just like Hank when he played his music to thousands in the 1940's dance halls. The band includes vocalists Randy Minkler, Ron W. Bailey and this year Jennifer Sutherland is singing the songs of Patsy Cline, along with John Olufs on guitar, Greg Canote on fiddle, David Kahn on steel and Paula Walters on standup bass.
The band has been fortunate to play for some great dancers ready to swing each other around on the dance floors. It's as easy as too much mustard on a corn dog.
