Goldoni's Memoirs
KIT brings on the stage a personal adaptation of the "Memoirs" by Venetian revolutionary playwright Carlo Goldoni (1707-1793). Goldoni starts in 1783 to write his memories, which intends to serve "the story of his life and that of his own theater,". He finishes in 1786. They play tells the story of Carlo Goldoni and of the theater that he contributed deeply to change, marking the first milestone toward todays theater. The text is a reflection not only on our theater but also on a man who gave is entire life to theater in his own country and had to leave in order to keep making the theater he loved.
