"Forever Country!"
Here comes the fun! The 2017 Skamania County Fair and Timber Carnival hits the Skamania County Fairgrounds in scenic Stevenson, WA, August 16-22.
This year our theme is Forever Country, reminding us of our country roots! At the Skamania County Fair, all you need is a keen sense of adventureand free admission, live entertainment, carnival rides, fireworks, crafts, livestock, contests, yummy food and vendors!
Located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, the event is the last original "free-gate" fair in the Northwest, and offers plenty of good times for all Bigfoot included!
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION BEFORE SELECTING YOUR CAMP SITE!!
SUPERINTENDENT SPACES (1-27): These spaces are pre-assigned to Superintendents and not available for selection. Thank you for your understanding!
ELECTRICAL SPACES (28-90): Size is 15 Wide x 40 Deep. These spaces are provided electrical hookup only. NO WATER! Please plan accordingly and bring an appropriate gauge extension cord. $140.00 (Tax Extra)
NON ELECTRICAL SPACES: (91-100 and 200-230): Size is 15 Wide x 20 Deep. These spaces are suitable for tents, cab over campers and small RV's. $70.00 (Tax Extra)
CAMPING RULES: By purchasing a camp site for the Skamania County Fair & Timber Carnival, purchaser agrees to abide by the following campground rules. Skamania County reserves the right to remove campers who fail to follow the guidelines listed herein:
- CAMPING FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE! NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!! If you are unsure of your commitment to camp, please wait to reserve your space.
- Campers, tents, vehicles and accompanying equipment must fit within the confines of their assigned camping site. Vehicles which do not fit within the space must be parked outside of the Campground in appropriately marked parking lots.
- For the safety of our campers and Fair guests, driving in and out is prohibited between the hours of 10:00am and 8:00pm. When permitted, vehicles must obey the posted speed limit of 5MPH. Vehicle access is available at one point of entry: near the west side of the Campground.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00pm - 7:00am. No generators are to be used during this time except for approved medical necessities. For advance approval, please email: parks@co.skamania.wa.us
- Generators may be operated between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm for two hours/per eight hour period.
- SECURE ALL VALUABLES!! Skamania County is not responsible for loss, theft or damage.
- Dogs are allowed in the camping area only, and prohibited on the Fairgrounds!! Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. When the owner is not present, dogs must be kept inside your tent or RV.
- Dog waste needs to be collected and disposed of propertly and immediately.
- Dogs that bark persistently or exhibit aggressive behavior will be expelled from the Fairgrounds. Owner assumes all risk and liability should any injury occur.
- Bringing dogs, other than assistance dogs or 4H animals is strongly discouraged. You and you animal may be asked to leave and your payment will be forfeited.
- Personal vehicles MUST FIT WITHIN your assigned camping site. If it does not, overflow parking is available at the "Old Mill" Site located just WEST of the Fairgrounds. Regular parking available between 10am and 10pm is located in the gravel lot EAST of the Fairgrounds and requires payment of $5.00/per vehicle/per day.
