JOHN ALCORN SINGS GEORGE GERSHWIN
JOHN ALCORN'S SONGBOOK SERIES 2017 This January, for the first time since 2012, John Alcorn is bringing back his legendary Songbook Series. Since his initial exploration of this timeless music, at The Cameron House on Queen Street West in 1994, Alcorn has performed Songbook concerts in clubs and concert halls across the country. These performances, full of love and life, tears and laughter, offer the opportunity for both performers and audience members to immerse themselves in the aesthetic of some of our most beloved creators and interpreters of song, with each concert focusing on the work of an individual artist Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, et al.
120 Diner, located at 120 Church Street in downtown Toronto, with its intimate atmosphere, gorgeous sound and excellent food, promises to be the perfect, relaxed setting for these very special evenings.
