Glen Phillips and Grant Lee Phillips
Although Glen and Grant-Lee aren't related, their singing pedigrees in their respective '90s alternative bands, "Toad the Wet Sprocket" and "Grant Lee Buffalo" and their knack for crafting thoughtful, yet catchy songs - make them kindred spirits.
Glen Phillips has now released 4 well-received solo albums full of "heart, melody, and a pleasing lack of rock star attitude." Minnesota Star Tribune
Toad the Wet Sprocket, Glen Phillips's former group and the band behind "Walk on the Ocean," sold over 3 million records in their '90s heyday.
Since parting ways with the celebrated outfit "Grant Lee Buffalo", singer/songwriter Grant-Lee Phillips has been penning heartfelt original tunes, collaborating with comedian Margaret Cho, and appearing on Gilmore Girls.
Grant-Lee Phillips was named Rolling Stone's 1995 Male Vocalist of the Year.
See Glen Phillips and Grant Lee Phillips in their only South Coast appearance together. December 15 at The Plaza Playhouse Theater!
