His innovative and artistic designs provoke and inspire, while providing tangible design solutions to the most daunting design challenges.
Some of Izumita's most interesting design challenges include: The Inland Empire Utility Agency Headquarters, which serves as a working demonstration of Stormwater Management practices utilizing a working landscape as a means to move water through stream filtration, wetlands, vegetation, pervious pavement to help cleanse the water as it enters Chino Creek; developing a site plan for faculty housing at Stanford University utilizing "Sustainable Design" principles; and developing landscapes that perform on podiums in tight urban infill conditions. Memorable landscape programs include the Los Angeles International Airport Beautification Project, which transformed the Century Boulevard entry to LAX and added a garden identity to the airport entrance; Disney's Edison International Field; Euro Disney Resort Master Plan and Design of the Resort Lakefront Promenade; The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel; The Disneyland Hotel renovation and Neverland Pool; The Vintage Club; The Water Court at California Plaza; MOCA and the Spiral
