The Sankofa Dance Theater Harvest Fest is a concert concept. A story of a West African harvest celebration told through traditional drum and dance with all of the narrative given in Griot style storytelling. This concert will delight young and old. A concert by the Sankofa Dance Theater is an event that stands alone... perfect for a dress up night on the town, a celebration of African heritage, or a tribute to multicultural diversity. The Company presents drumming, dancing, music, songs, and stories born of the traditions of African a format choreographed for stage presentation... with colorful, vibrant, artful costumes that are skillfully designed and crafted to take you on a journey to the Land of the Sun.
