The East Bay fine dining scene joins local community organizations for restaurateur Charlie Hallowell's third season of the successful Sunday Suppers series. Launched in May 2014, this event now occurs every other month and brings together spectacular food and good company to raise money for a different East Bay organization working on behalf of the community. To date, we have raised over $150K for a number of great causes.
Join us March 19th at Penrose, to support the amazing work of Beats, Rhymes, and Life, which cultivates and trains in engaging, culturally-responsive services that inspire youth to recognize their own capacity for healing and self-expression, through the therapeutic power of Hip Hop. BRL is committed to Strength-Based, Culturally-Congruent and Youth-Centered service delivery that derives from Therapeutic Frameworks, Social Justice paradigms and Media Literacy.
Tickets cost $60-100 per person, wine included, for a multicourse, prix-fixe meal.
Charlie and representatives from Beats, Rhymes, and Life will share information about their work, and we will be raising additional funds at the event for BRL. Signature cocktails may be ordered throughout the night at the cash bar 100% of the proceeds will also be donated to the organization.
