An Evening With The Rents - A Comedy Special
An Evening With The Rents has gained national attention for being so much more than a benefit! And we're back at it again...for a fourth time!!!
This year's event (as in the past two years) will take place within the timeless beauty of the Gem Theater, the crown jewel of Kansas City's iconic 18th and Vine corridor. The Gem Theater has hosted some of the world's greatest performers since it opened its doors in 1912 and on Friday, March 10th, this hallowed venue will once again be rocking with laughter!
An Evening With The Rents, benefiting the awesomeness that is Camp Encourage, is unlike any other comedy special.
What makes this event unique is that the comics are all individuals or parents of children with autism who have worked with local comedians to craft hilarious stories from their lives into stage-ready material. As these parents would tell you "The joke is us" and the humorous ways they and the rest of the world react to some very unique challenges.
