Sponsored by Mountain Hardwear athlete Janet Bergman has agreed to spend a day with women climbers of the Triangle area. Join Janet for an interactive mix of presentations, indoor climbing, demos, light food fare and good fun as she walks us through her evolution in climbing styles, about the role of climbing in her life, and demos techniques and gear she uses for aid and alpine climbing.

Thanks to the support of the Great Outdoor Provision Co and Mountain Hardwear, the American Alpine Club Southern Appalachian Section will sponsor a visit by Janet Bergman and Freddie Wilkinson to Raleigh and Winston-Salem. They will present their slide show on adventures in the Karakoram Range, which resulted in Freddie winning, with his teammates,past AAC presidents Mark Richey and Steve Swenson, alpinism's highest honor, the 2012 Piolets d'Or.
