Bio's

- SORNE is a tapestry of humanism, calling upon hand-made instruments, ethereal voices, and poetic storytelling to forge a renewed sense of song. With influences ranging from Japanese and African folk music to the beat poetry of Kerouac and Ginsberg, acclaimed visual artist Morgan Sorne allows the spirit of his music to seep into the other artistic mediums he works within. Part of the select few chosen to participate in the 2009 and 2011 Texas Biennial, Morgan has earned a reputation for stark, enthralling collections whose presentations border on the line of interactive theater. The pieces on stage during SORNE's live performances achieve this same sense of immersion, as you are coaxed into a world painted with song and lyric.

- INCUS is a wonderfully interactive group that mesmerizes its audience, and manages to sweep an entire festival into a heartfelt dance party and sing along. Drawing on influences from Middle Eastern, Native American, African and Eastern European musical traditions, Incus is redefining the American Tribal music movement. The combination of keyboards, accordion, violin, drumming and bass with male and female vocals creates a beautifully haunting soundscape, replete with mesmerizing rhythms capable of inducing trance-like states. Incus expresses a willingness to embrace the totality of human emotion, both light and dark. An Incus performance is a gathering of people who come together to live and breathe the challenge of being alive.

- VADALNA TRIBAL DANCE CO. is one of the premiere  professional dance companies to bring the cutting edge dance "tribal fusion" belly dance to the Boston area. Having found its roots in New York City, Vadalna spans the bridge between classical Middle Eastern dance (belly dance) and the New York City & Boston Underground, blending elements of hip-hop, house, and modern dance. The result is something neither one extreme nor the other, but both, and uniquely Vadalna. This synergy between the old and the new in what Vadalna describes as "tribal" or "tribal-fusion," has led many Middle Eastern cultural organizations throughout the country to describe Vadalna as the newest in Middle Eastern modern dance. Endeavoring to offer a modern cultural voice, Vadalna has grown into a theatrical, performance arts company weaving dance with contemporary mythical story, an element not usually incorporated within traditional Middle Eastern dance.

- HYBRID is the distinct offspring of a mixed union of athleticism and grace. A balance of light and dark. Intensity and subtlety. Hybrid Belly Dance is the smooth fusion of cultures and the sharp integration of styles. Influenced by a background in Tae Kwon Do, Gymnastics and Musical Theatre, the dynamic intensity of a competitive athlete and the theatricality of a stage performer shape Hybrid Belly Dance performances. Be it the channeling of a jungle cat or a rose petal, Bevin Victoria will tell you a story through movement, and she's calling you to come along for the journey
Duality in motion- this is Hybrid BellyDance.
