MY 3 YEARS IN HONG KONG - THE ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN ENVIRONMENT OF HONG KONG

This presentation will take you on a tour of the diversity of Hong Kong through the eyes of an Architect who spent 3 years living in the city. Attendees will look at the diverse architecture - both modern and historic. There will be an overview of neighborhoods and the many islands that make up the city, as well as the modern mass transit systems. Attendees will make observations and discuss the current and future of master planning of the city.
Learning Objectives:
-Overview: Historic Architecture of Hong Kong
-Attendees will learn about the modern architecture of Hong Kong.
-Overview and discussion of the historic architecture of Hong Kong and adaptive reuse of older buildings.
-Attendees will learn about the neighborhoods and the mass transit infrastructure and the changes being made to include electric trolleys
