PEEWEE MOORE, BILL CARDINAL and the CANYON BAND & the CACTUS JACKS $8 DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
PEEWEE MOORE: If I were to trace the genealogy of the country music Outlaw, it would start with Bobby Bare, roll through Willie & Waylon and that whole gang, follow Cash through the late 90s, and end up in the country music underground with people like Peewee Moore as possibly the perfect example of the Outlaw lineage in the present day"-Kyle Coroneos, www.savingcountrymusic.com Within a genre somewhere between Waylon Jennings, and Bill Monroe, Peewee is a self proclaimed Honkytonk/Outlaw Country Singer/Songwriter. He tours around doing an endless string of one night stands from Austin TX to you name it. If you havent saw a show it's your own fault! Peewee tours either solo acoustic, as a duo, or with his 3 piece band "Peewee Moore & The Awful Dreadful Snakes" Born and raised in the foothills of the appalachian rainforest just across the TN border in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Peewee spent most of his time haunting the streets of Chattanooga TN playing many of his first shows in, and around the "Choo Choo" city. Peewee spent the consecutive years making a name for himself as an accomplished picker, and songwriter throughout the Southeast. With the gift of raw talent, and showmanship Peewee has been fortunate enough to be able to share the stage with several of his hero's, as well as some of outlaw country, americana, and rockabilly's most well known, and recieved acts such as Kris Kristofferson, Billy Joe Shaver, David Allen Coe, Dwight Yoakam, Charlie Daniels, Dicky Betts, Cowboy Jack Clement, Steve Earle, Dale Watson, Shooter Jennings, James McMurtry, Junior Brown, Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Chris Knight, Todd Snyder, Wanda Jackson, The Blasters, Deke Dickerson, Lee Rocker, Southern Culture On The Skids, Unknown Hinson, Scott H. Biram, Bobby Bare Jr, and countless others.
BILL CARDINAL & the CANYON BAND: In an ever-more confusing world of get-up's, gimmick's, and one-hit-wonders that don't stick, BILL CARDINAL is an authentic and refreshing swift country kick right where it counts. Singing about real life experiences, Cardinal's backbeat and lyrics offer up refreshing humor, imagery, and darkness that only people like Hank Sr. and the Man in Black would understand. Raised in the rural countryside of East San Diego County, CA, Cardinal grew up around the hisses and pops of warped vinyl classics like Buck Owens, Townes Van Zandt, and George Jones: a musical landscape that simply cannot be re-invented; a cult-like & dangerous world by today's radio standards.
the CACTUS JACKS: Ocean Beach locals revisiting the old style Country sounds of yesterday today.
