The closing show of the weekend! We are going out with a bang and bringing you Innovators in the art of sideshow. These performers are creating (and recreating) sideshow acts like you have never seen, opening new doors and sometimes blending our art with others- exposing new and different audiences to this American art form.
The Host:
Danny Borneo
With well over a decade of performing in front of 10s of people in the shittiest bars of Philadelphia all the way to record breaking tattoo convention crowds and at various other events both large and small across the good ole US of A, Danny has been charming the masses with the utmost finesse for years. An emcee extraordinaire and one half of the world renowned Olde City Sideshow, Danny has trained with some of the greats in the industry. Seeking out the old timers and true showmen in order to give you the people what you deserve, an experience like no other. Mixing the best of old world carnival with the smooth silky feel of a whiskey drink at a dark night club. The only thing that rivals his charisma is his ego and the only thing that beats that is the skill and knowledge he brings to the stage. Some call him a mad man, some call him a genius, most call him an asshole.....you can call him whatever you want. Just don't call him early in the morning, he doesn't like that.
Our cast:
Gigi DeLuxe is multifaceted International touring sideshow performer who is widely known for her unique and signature act of Archery using live human targets! She performs the human blockhead and is a fire eater; she performs on a bed of nails and walks up a ladder of razor sharp machetes barefoot. This dame of danger is one of only a few female sword swallowers in the world and walks barefoot on broken shards of Glass.
Lacary Steele
With 30 + Years of Full Time Professional experience Lacary aka the World Famous "Checkers the Entertainer" with have your Jaw all but hanging to the ground. He does the World's MOST EXTREME Chin and Nose Balancing as Featured on the Live Finale Show in Hollywood of the Summer Smash Hit TV Show "America's Got Talent" which he has been on more than 1 Season . He's also the Runner up of the National USA Network "Show us your Character Contest." He also has a World Record. He Says BUCKLE UP !!!!!! You never know what he will be bringing to the stage.
Bizzaro
In a world full of reality TV and lackluster entertainment, Bizzaro. The Optical Illusionist strives to prove that "normal" is just the setting on a dryer.
Bizzaro has performed from coast to coast and appeared on FOX, NBC, Americas got Talent, CW's Master's of Illusion and the Travel Channels Extreme Conventions. He is a regular performer at the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA.
From lighting himself on fire to getting attacked by snack chips, a Bizzaro show is as different as it sounds. Using various types of music as a frame, he creates a unique picture with visual comedy and off the wall illusions that combine a neo-vaudeville style with silent movie antics.
Luella Lynne
Luella Lynne is the glamorous Strong Lady of Sideshow! With a performance background in burlesque,
she has captivated her audiences with what Burlesque Beat has described as a "sultry routine" with "dazzling costumery".
Engagingly pairing allure and power, Luella performs astounding feats of physical fortitude. With the flash of her smile
and the force of her bare hands, she rips phonebooks, twists horseshoes, tears decks of cards, bends steel, rolls up
frying pans, and even breaks chains.
Luella has performed at events such as The Great Burlesque Exposition in Boston and Burning Man.
She trains under the guidance of strongman Chris "Hairculese" Rider.
Cyclone Jack Sullivan
Cyclone Jack Sullivan is one of NYC's most unpredictable variety performers. Combining traditional sideshow feats and Carny magic with anarchic comedy and theatrical mayhem, Jack's performances draw gasps, screams, and laughter in equal measure.
Puck
Puck began their entertainment career as a wee one, at the ripe young age of 18 when they auditioned for and began performing with their first drag troupe in Colorado Springs, CO. Drag lead Puck to exploring movement and they began to train as a breakdancer a few years in.
Drag lead to gender bending in the burlesque world. They absolutely love everything about performance and putting on a show, they have made sure they have experienced and worked in every role possible from being on the stage, to kittening, to producing shows themselves. It was not until years later that they would find circus arts and completely thrust themselves into it.
These last few years Puck has been relentlessly pursuing their training as an Aerialist focusing on Aerial Straps and Aerial Rope (Corde Lisse) and getting the chance to learn from the best in the community.
They are training in other forms of movement, going back to parkour, gymnastics, and now taking on ballet. Puck has also learned traditional sideshow skills, human blockhead, glass walking, and fire skills from the one and only, the indomitable and notorious, Gigi DeLuxe. They are always looking for new ways to tell their favorite stories, and always looking for new stories to tell.
Sophia Sunday
Sophia Sunday, daughter of an actor and opera singer, has been gracing the stage since childhood. She launched her career at the age of seven, performing with her father at small dinner theaters. Sophia is a member and coproducer of Baltimore's Gilded Lily burlesque. Currently based in Albuquerque, she is also an honorary member of Gilded Cage Burlesque and Variete.
Sophia has performed on several stages across the globe including Le Chinois and La Java in Paris, Kiss Kiss Cabaret in Chicago, the Sunday Speakeasy in Detroit, Carnival de Sensuale's Oriental Theater, The Creative Alliance and The Red Palace in Baltimore, and at a variety of special events including Baltimore's PRIDE Festival, the Asheville Americana Burlesque Festival, the Snake Oil Festival, ABurlyQ!2016, the Dublin Burlesque Festival, the Something Strange Circus Sideshow Festivalin Toronto, and has toured with the Carnivalesque Roadshow, a co-production of Gilded Lily Burlesque and Armitage Shanks. Sophia's acts are a riveting fusion of traditional burlesque and sideshow.
