The Firebugs
The Firebugs by Max Frisch is an absurdist black comedy written in the 1950s as a allegory for the rise of fascism during and after WWII. It is centered around Gottlieb Biedermann, a German businessman who discovers that the two men who have entered his home disguised as salesmen are the arsonists who have already burned down much of the town. If written today, it would probably be titled The Terrorists. It's moral lesson is timeless. Prior to each performance, there will be a short presentation about the historical perspective and style of the play: Fri and Sat ant 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30.
