Three weekends leading up to the election 19-21, 25-28 October; 1-4 November @ 8 PM $25, Dinner is included
This election season, Organs of State invites you to dine (and remake America) at the Américana Passover: an immersive, participatory performance held around a dinner table. With food. Claim your seat at the table as we experience a new American ritual that interrogates the promise of "all men are created equal." Inspired by Jewish tradition, Américana Passover re-imagines the Seder, mapping it over an ever shifting landscape of American lore, as audiences and performers, side-by-side, break bread together over the course of a full, vegetarian friendly meal, and usher in a great transformation for our nation.
For tickets to Thursday, 25 October's special Grubwithus.com partnership event, head over to Grubwithus.com. http://www.grubwithus.com/meals/americana-passover
Américana Passover is a project of Organs of State, a new performance company that reimagines the audience's experience through whole, performative events. Each year the company starts with a theme, and creates immersive performances to explore specific questions provoked by the theme. Driven by those questions, the company utilizes unique performance styles and sites, and shares in the experiment with its audience.
