Sueños
Noah Frank is a jazz trumpeter, composer, producer, and educator based in San Francisco. He has released over a dozen albums, EPs, and singles in multiple styles, including jazz, hip-hop, electronic, and R&B, many of it under the pseudonym Herbie One. In 2008, Noah attended the Berklee College of Music on Scholarship and earned a BA in Contemporary Writing and Production. In 2009, he did an internship at the world class Studio Trilogy in SF. In 2011, he co-founded Beatshop Labs, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching music to youth thru music technology. Thru Beatshop Labs he started teaching music production at the Community Music Center of Boston and then continued teaching at the Mission Cultural Center in SF. He also developed the curriculum for the Oakland School for the Arts brand new music production/composition class, combining jazz and classical scores, chord voicing studies, and music production software. In 2014, he started throwing beat battles for music producers in the Bay Area and did a YouTube series of beat videos with over 20 local producers. In 2015, Noah started a series of arrangements of modern pop music for high school ensembles, arranging music from artists such as Beyonce, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, and J Dilla. He also started throwing monthly music showcases and began promoting shows under the banner Herbie One Presents. In 2016, Noah curated a series of remix compilations inspired by stems recorded by his band Sueños. He opened for the legendary hip-hop group Binary Star and performed with Sueños during the Fillmore St. Jazz Festival.
