Porchlight: What Am I, Chopped Liver? Stories of Food and Jews
The popular Porchlight storytelling series makes its East Bay debut with an evening of stories that shed light on one of the most important elements of Jewish culture: FOOD. The evening will feature stories from NPR commentator Dayvid Figler, filmmaker and Webbies founder Tiffany Shlain, Rabbi Alan Lew and others. Attendees will receive the added bonus of a favorite family recipe from each storyteller.
For the past six years, Porchlight has been San Francisco's premier storytelling series. Each month, co-founders Beth Lisick and Arline Klatte invite six people from different backgrounds (past storytellers have ranged from school bus drivers and mushroom hunters to socialites and politicians) to tell ten-minute stories without using notes or memorization. The results are evenings of entertainment and inspiration.
Come early and enjoy a glass of wine. Doors open at 7:00pm.
