The Walker
Post-screening reception sponsored by Domenick D'Ercole of MetLife. Open Bar powered by V2 Vodka.
Carter Page (Woody Harrelson) is a well-connected, gay Washington, D.C., socialite who as a "walker squires the wives of the rich and powerful to galas and parties. When he's out with the ladies, Carter is the life of the party and the closest confidant of many of these women. Carter's loyalty is tested when his dearest friend Lynn Lockner (Kristin Scott Thomas) finds herself on the brink of a scandal that could destroy her reputation and her husband's career. Offering to cover for her, Carter suppresses incriminating evidence, only to find himself the chief suspect in a murder investigation. Suddenly, this well-connected man-about-town is a pariah, hounded by the police and forced to find the true culprit. More importantly, he must re-examine whether it is important to be accepted by a society based on betrayal, hypocrisy, and corruption. Written & directed by Paul Schrader (Affliction, American Gigolo, Light Sleeper), The Walker is a mystery-thriller that evolves into a tale of moral redemption.
