On the Spot Show: Writer's Open Mic
On the Spot is Seattle's new word-loving open mic. It's also an official invitation for storytellers and improvisers to cross breed! Throw in a few poets, stir, and what you get is the Market Theater breaking out in SPOTS!
Bring your stories, poems or improvisational impulses to the Theater on the third Thursday of the month to claim your four minutes in the SPOTlight. Before the show, come to a writing circle where we'll break out a rash of writing prompts. (Get it? Rash, as in SPOTs?)
Date: September 20th Venue: Market Theater, 1428 Post Alley (at the gum wall in Pike Place Market) Time: Show, 7:00. Doors and sign ups, 6:30. (Writing circle, 5:30.) Cost: $3 ($2 if you wear polka dots!)
