"Beats of Life, Rhythms of Heritage" presents Rama Vaidyanathan at the DuSable
The grand finale of tne "Beats of Life, Rhythms of Heritage" series presents Rama Vaidyanathan, one of the best interpreters of the ancient art form of Bharata Natyam. Trained intensively under legendary dancer Yamini Krishnamurty, Rama's fresh approach to dance while still deeply routed in tradition has made her one of the most sought after dancers of her generation.
Join us for this first-ever classical Indian dance performance at the historic DuSable, the nation's foremost Museum of African American History. Arrive early, and as an added bonus, enjoy a pre-performance visit to the museum galleries.
"BEATS OF LIFE, RHYTHMS OF HERITAGE" is presented by the Indo-American Heritage Museum and Natya Dance Theatre with generous funding from the Chicago Community Trust.
