Hanauyi - Celebrate Spring!
Celebrate spring with Hanayui. On their first US tour from Japan since 2002, Hanayui will enliven the stage with dance, music and song in the tradition of Japans traveling folk artisans. Hanayui features stunning dance and graceful taiko drumming of Chieko Kojima and the hauntingly beautiful voice of Yoko Fujimoto, both original members of the internationally renowned taiko ensemble, Kodo. Completing the trio is award winning Okinawan dancer, Mitsue Kinjo. Joining Hanayui will be guest artist Kaoru Watanabe, former Kodo fue (flute) player.
