Slow Food Kansas City "Preserving Class with Michael Foust"
Learn how to preserve the end of summer bounty with Michael Foust, chef/owner of The Farmhouse restaurant and operator of Cafe Thyme at Powell Gardens. Michael will take the group through the beautiful and edible Heartland Harvest Garden, and we'll choose what to harvest based on what's ready and what looks good. Then he'll conduct a hands-on pickling class where everyone is welcome to participate. You'll get a mason jar of pickled goodies to take home! Beverages and samples are included.
