Join us for a weekend celebrating the diversity of styles in the ever-emerging field of Animation. Attendees will experience a selection of art and animated works from around the globe at the historic Tower Theatre in old Roseville, culled from independent artists and major motion picture companies.
Patrons may explore the evolution of animation methods through workshops for imaginative minds of all ages, with hands-on opportunities to build flip cartoons and zoetrope's, with short demonstrations on CGI and 3D rendering presented by professionals at the Blue Line Gallery adjacent to the Tower. The Tower will also provide opportunities for exhibition of artwork and vendor sales of related materials in its spacious lobby.
There will be two panel discussions: On Saturday, September 29, an assembly of industry professionals who've worked and/or currently work in larger markets such as Marvel and Pixar. Sunday the 30th will present a panel of independent filmmakers and artists relating their techniques to accomplish their work on smaller budgets.
VIPs and participants in the Event will participate in the Opening Night after-party at Sammy Hagar's brand new Rockin' Island Bar & Grill, scheduled to open September 15th. The theatre is situated between several local eateries and coffee shops within walking distance, and is only a five minute drive from the Westfield Galleria Mall and the Fountains at Roseville, with over 40 retailers and restaurants to choose from.
