Event
Boise's Biggest Liar competitive storytelling event with DANIEL BISHOP Sept. 21 at LINEN BUILDING
Hosted by Daniel Bishop, The Storyteller, the evening will consist of stories from Bishop and the featured event, a competition to see who can spin the most creative fib in five minutes. Audience members will vote by secret ballot for their favorite liar. (Contestants will sign up after doors open; space is limited. Complete contest rules will be available at the event.)
Daniel Bishop, The Storyteller (danielbishopthestoryteller.com) has been on the professional stage of storytelling for 12 years. But Bishop has been spinning whoppers since he could talk. Trained in theatre at Utah State University and taught the art of storytelling by the master storyteller Dr. David Sidwell, Bishop has taken his craft from folk festival to the classroom, from stage to campfire. He has toured with the Dakota Assemblies and National School Assemblies, is a member of the Utah Storytelling Guild and is a Sponsored Artist for National Storytelling Network. Bishop has told stories from the Canadian border to the Mexican border, from Minnesota to California. His favorite place to perform is around the backyard fire pit with his wife and two children. And as Bishop says, "Let me bring the campfire to you."
