Improvaganza Presents: Hush, Galapagos, Local Genius Society: Beach Cops
On Saturday September 29, Improvaganza Hawaii Festival of Improv presents ON THE SPOT'S HUSH, GALAPAGOS, & LOCAL GENIUS SOCIETY: BEACH COPS at The The ARTS at Marks Garage 1159 Nuuanu Ave. Show starts at 10:30pm doors Open at 10:00pm. Admission is $10
This performance a part of the 7th Annual Improvaganza! 2012 Hawaii Festival of Improv. Improvaganza is Hawaii's only festival dedicated to improv comedy and improvised theatre.
The ARTS at Marks Garage is located at 1159 Nuuanu Ave on the corner of Pauahi and Nuuanu, one block south of Beretania Street.
******************ABOUT THE GROUPS*******************
HUSH: On The Spot's HUSH is a live action 1920's silent movie set in the style of some of the silent movies biggest stars like Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks. Hush captures all the charm and nostalgia of the silent movie era with strong characters, physicality, and musical accompaniment. This show is completely improvised and done without dialog.
GALAPAGOS: Improvaganza Fan Favorites, Galapagos is one of a hand full of improv groups who has performed at improvaganza four years in a Row. Galapagos is a longform improv group from Phoenix. They have been performing since 2003 and are strong believers of longform Improvisation as art.
LOCAL GENIUS SOCOETY: BEACH COPS: Local Genius Society presents an improvised episode of the fictional TV show "Beach Cops!" When things get out of hand on the sands (or near a sno cone stand), the Beach Cops will be there. When duty calls, even at the great expense to one's personal life, the Beach Cops will be there. When there's a 50% off sale on ultra-short shorts, the Beach Cops will be there.
