A Conversation and Performance with Ellis Paul
Only 50 tickets will be sold for this special event.
The Archives is pleased to welcome Ellis Paul to one of the great listening rooms in town, Ellis will perform and will record a conversation that will be deposited into our growing oral history collection.
"Ellis Paul is one of the best singer-songwriters of his generation. And for many of us he is the face of contemporary folk music, few are as smart, as literate and as poetic as Paul. He has spun his story songs for nearly twenty years now, and has eleven studio recordings... to his credit. I cannot think of another artist on the acoustic music scene who is better-loved by fans, or more respected by his contemporaries."
-Roberta Schwartz, Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange
Ellis Paul is one of the leading voices of the American singer-songwriter world. He was a principal leader in the wave of singer-songwriters that emerged from the Boston folk scene, which helped revitalize the national acoustic circuit with an urban, literate, folk/pop style that renewed interest in the genre in the 1990s. For years, he has been among the singer-songwriter circuit's most popular and dependable headliners, with fiercely loyal fans all over the globe.
Paul has received 14 Boston Music Awards, has released 17 albums to date, and tours world-wide to always exceptional reviews.
