Turbocharge Your Writing
Is your writing feeling a little sluggish? Readers not dropping everything to race to your blog post or book to scoop up your latest written gems? Sign up for "Turbocharge Your Writing" and breathe new life into your prose, both fiction and nonfiction. Learn some fun techniques for playing with language, editing for concision and power, and packing some punch into your paragraphs. In this session we'll look at some examples of hot writing, and you'll learn some techniques right away for getting your writing back on track. If you have one to two pages of a work in progress, please bring them.
About the Instructor: Nicole Caron leads the English as a Second Language and First-Year Writing Programs and teaches writing and literature at Ringling College of Art + Design. An award-winning copywriter, Nicole writes freelance articles and creates headlines and taglines for businesses and non-profits. She is at work on her debut novel, a series of essays about writers and writing, and a collection of tanka scheduled for publication by Chapter Two Press in 2017. Nicole also has over 15 years of experience, teaching composition, literature and English as a Second Language at community colleges and universities in Oregon, Connecticut and Florida.
