Winter Wizarding Waltz
Calling all Muggles, Wizards, and Witches! Lexpecto Patronum, the Lexington Chapter of the international Harry Potter Alliance is thrilled to announce its third installment of the Winter Wizarding Waltz to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 6:00 to 10:00pm at the historic Lyric Theater and Cultural Arts Center in downtown Lexington, KY. Inspired by the Yule Ball, this Hogwarts-themed soiree features a multi-course Harry Potter themed meal from Mintons at 760, live musical entertainment, special performances by Rakadu Gypsy Dancers, and tea leaf readings from North Star Muse.
Due to the overwhelming success of the prequel movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the 2017 Winter Wizarding Waltz will have a 1920's theme. Come in your jazz age finery or cosplay as your favorite Harry Potter character. The Lyric Theater and Cultural Art Center will be transformed into a magical private dining hall complete with a host of Harry Potter surprises!
We'll be bringing our returning guests the excitement that they've come to expect from this event and we are excited to introduce some new details, such as Horizont Alley, a market with handcrafted wizarding goods from local artists. Though we're using the 1920's as a backdrop for this years Waltz, there will still be plenty of classic Harry Potter elements. said Natasha Collier, Hufflepuff and chapter member.|
