Get your front row seats for the Mad Raven Dinner Theatres new opening production of their 2017 Season, The British Invasion From Ed Sullivan to MTV
On Sunday February 9 1964, 73 million North American viewers watching the Ed Sullivan Show saw the start of the first British music invasion. They called it Beatlemania. Within one year the Beatles would have over 200 songs on the American charts.
The show follows The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Hermans Hermits, The Rolling Stones, The Who and many more, and thats just Act One.
In Act Two 1982 -1986, the second invasion and again on TV, this time on MTV. We were introduced to bands like Human League, Elvis Costello, Culture Club, Tears For Fears, Bonnie Tyler, Robert Palmer, The Police, Simple Minds, Duran Duran, and Billy Idol to name a few.
It is an evening of songs and stories that will transport you back in time. The show stars Serge Charlebois and Monica Ward from the popular Deerhursts Decades Show as well as the Mad Raven House Band Sean Cotton, Michael Phillips, and Shon Roper.
The evening starts with a 3 course plated dinner at the beautiful Mark OMeara Country Club and then a chance to sit back and enjoy the show from your own table.
Its a wonderful a wonderful evening out for $69.95 including taxes and gratuities. Cash bar. A limited number of $30 show only tickets are also available for each night.
Shows are Friday Feb 10 and Saturday Feb11. Dinner 6pm Show 8pm.
