UNDERBELLY
Intermedia Arts presents UNDERBELLY Experimental, Multidisciplinary Works Featuring Emerging Ideas and Artists
Intermedia Arts multidisciplinary, artist-centered performance series UNDERBELLY returns this Spring with a Hip Hop theater experiment by TruthMaze, a collection of songs and stories from the mouth of a candy witch by Emily Zimmer, and an interdisciplinary one-woman show sifting the elusiveness of Black Girl Magic by Vie Boheme.
Curated by Shá Cage, UNDERBELLY is a nurturing ground for developing ideas, innovative and artistic collaboration. A bi-annual event, this Spring's intriguing curation explores story, hip hop, satire, politics, and history.
Contraction - Expansion By Truthmaze Story meets Song meets Truth. A Hip Hop Theater experiment.
Sorry. By Emily Zimmer A collection of songs and stories from the mouth of a candy witch. Partial regrets sung in full color. Songs by Marya Hart and Emily Zimmer.
Viva:BLACK (Volume 1.) By Vie Boheme
Viva:BLACK (Volume 1.) is vocalist and dancer Vie Boheme's interdisciplinary one-woman show that aims to sift the elusiveness of Black Girl Magic. It is an evening of song, dance, and poetry thematically presented through a series of vignettes. The show is historically charged, reflective of today's social political landscape and candidly shared.
With only two evenings of performances, UNDERBELLY is not to be missed!
