The Anti Saloon League was headquartered in Ohio. On this 3-hour tour, you'll hear about the role Ohio played in the Prohibition movement at the Anti Saloon League Museum in downtown Westerville. We'll stroll Westerville's historic streets admiring buildings built in the mid 1800s and refurbished with Works Progress Administration (WPA) support, a relief program implemented by President Roosevelt during the Great Depression. Schneider's Bakery, Westerville's oldest bakery, is a highlight. We'll stop in for a genuine German sweet treat and learn the connection between beer, bread, and civilization! Experience Beer and Ale 101 at Temperance Row Microbrewery. Learn the difference between lager and ale at Westerville's newest microbrewery; sample a variety of beers, all curated by Columbus' godfather of Columbus beer, Scott Francis. Finally, we'll meet up with Buckeye Brewcraft Brewmeister, Jim Downing, for an in-depth conversation about beer, beer making and beer and food pairing. He'll regale you on ancient history and modern facts about beer and other fermented beverages. Ticket Fee $45 (fee includes tours and beer tasting.
