Broadway Christmas Show Comes to Nutley in December
Nutley, New Jersey "A Broadway Christmas" starring piano sensation Linda Gentille comes to Nutley's Vincent United Church on Saturday, December 8 at 6:30 PM..
Fabulous entertainer Linda Gentille will perform a combination of fabulous holiday classics and your favorite Broadway hits. Refreshments will be served after the concert at the artist guest reception. This concert is appropriate for concert goers over the age of 5.
All proceeds from this concert will benefit Happily Efur After. A place where abused and abandoned animals find loving homes. Gentille is an animal welfare supporter as well as entertainer and frequently donates concerts to benefit worthy causes. HEA also educates the public on TNR and helps families find low cost spay/neuter clinics for their pets.!
Gentille dazzles audiences around the world with her beauty, charisma and musical virtuosity. She is one of the premier interpreters of Chinese classical music. Music has always been in the family for centuries. Linda's great grandmother, Anna Louise Deal was one of America's first female published ragtime composers. She wrote numerous ragtime compositions including " Come to Chicago" for the World Fair in 1933. Growing up in Pacific Palisades, California, Linda began her musical studies taking classes with her Father at Roger Williams' studio in Los Angeles. Her immediate grasp of complex and advanced music, her inherent technique, and her incredible ability to quickly and accurately memorize lengthy musical scores, soon endeared Linda to even her most senior instructors. After advancing quickly through the Roger Williams program, Linda then studied under Julliard trained Richard Kohfeld of Santa Monica and won numerous piano awards and accolades as a young pianist.
"Broadway Christmas will feature a combination of Christmas and Broadway music including music Andrew Lloyd Weber's many musicals including "Phantom of the Opera", "Evita", " Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Music of the Night." One of the highlight's of all of Gentille's performances includes a medley of Broadway requests in which she takes 10 songs and plays them in exact order but backwards without writing anything down. Audience participants are always astounded by this amazing memory feat.
Advance discount tickets to Broadway Christmas starring Linda Gentille are $25 for adults and $20 for children in advance and increase to $30 at the door on the day of the event.
