MY SUMMER AS A SALVATION SOLDIER
My Summer As A Salvation Soldier is a pseudonym for the Icelandic singer-song writer rir Georg Jnsson.
His first album I Belive In This (sic) was released in 2004 (as rir), it was recorded in just over two days. This was followed up by Anarchists Are Hopeless Romantics in 2005 (as My Summer ...). Both records were released on the 12 Tnar label. Beside these records there are some self-released EPs available through the official website. At present rir is working on his third album, which is expected to be released later this year.
rir also plays guitar in several hardcore bands, such as Fighting Shit, Hrydjuverk and Gavin Portland.
This will be his first trip to Indianapolis where My Summer As A Salvation Soldier will play at The Melody Inn on March 23rd.
