Astoria Q-Film Weekend Saturday Oct 6 7:30pm Screening
A gay/lesbian/queer film event in Astoria, OR. presented by QFolk the GLBT news and events section in HIPFiSHmonthly, an alternative newspaper serving the Columbia Pacific Region. The film weekend features a diverse selection of over 12 fresh films by indie film makers, from DIY to big studio; documentary to comedy to sci-fi, and music video. The film weekend includes two west coast premiers, The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens and SALTWATER.
Astoria Q-Film Weekend comprises a Friday and Saturday night screening, and a Saturday matinee. Each screening presents new films. Tickets are $15 for each screening. A package for the all three screenings is available at $40. This option has been extended through to the weekend.
Doors open half hour before the event. Enjoy a no-host bar and cabaret table seating. Complimentary snacks at intermission. QFilm Closing Dance Party -- all ticket holders welcome. $5 for non ticket holders.

He is best known for his appearance in the original 1975 Maysles Brothers documentary Grey Gardens. He was referred to by Little Edie Beale as "The Marble Faun." Join Jerry as he recounts tales from his troubled childhood, his escape to Grey Gardens, his travels overseas and learn more about this earnest man's tumultuous life.
