The Flow Show NYC
The Flow Show features performers pushing multiple object manipulation forms in new directions. Disciplines such as juggling, hula hoops, poi and staff spinning morphed when they moved from their traditional circus base and encountered rave, festival and Burning Man cultures. Multiple dance forms, yoga and martial arts have further influenced the movement and helped push the flow arts into a more expressive and less ta-da! focused realm. Though the tools are traditional, what is being done with them these days is not. www.theflowshow.org
