Phil Edmonds and Mike "Fishel" Bresler

Well-loved musicians Phil Edmonds the Pride Of Killaloe, County Clare  (The Gnomes, Irish, and world music) and Michael Bresler the Consternation Of Bridgeport, CT (klezmer and bluegrass) have pooled their 80 years of professional experience to create something new and exciting.
Accordion, guitar, clarinet, flute, mandolin and whistle combine to present traditional Irish, Jewish, and other world musics (as well as new compositions) in a fresh light. Seamlessly moving from hauntingly beautiful original pieces to stomping folk dance tunes to zany comedy, they run the gamut of emotions from A to B.

Fishel Bresler and Phil Edmonds perform originals and traditional Irish and Jewish melodies interposed with comedy.

Fishel Bresler and Phil Edmonds are know for their passionate yet sensitive playing. As Fishel says, This is inspirational music  you have to play it from your kishkes (innards) and from your heart. The pair nonetheless makes humor and high spirits an integral part of every presentation, and draw in audiences of all types and ages

FISHEL (Michael) BRESLER (clarinet, flute, mandolin, harmonica) has studied Klezmer clarinet and mandolin with the contemporary master, Andy Statman, over the course a decade. Currently Fishel works doing therapeutic music with multiply-handicapped children, and teaches both children & adults in several area schools and programs.

PHIL EDMONDS, a native of Killaloe, County Clare Ireland, has been playing tin whistle and button accordion in area ensembles for decades, notably with The Gnomes. In 2014 Phil released a CD, Liven Up, of original music

Its been a long time since Ive been this enthusiastic about any folk act, says Roger Sheridan in The Hamilton Review. Go see them!
