Oregon Cheese Festival
What:The Oregon Cheese Festival is a Farmers Market-style event supporting the Oregon Cheese Guild, featuring cow, sheep, and goat cheese from Oregon and Western U.S. creameries. Enjoy pairings of fine Southern Oregon wine, craft beer, ciders, assorted beverages, local artisan crafts, and great food under large heated tents. Sample and purchase local, artisan cheese, specialty foods, beer, wine, and cider from over 100 vendors. Culture Magazine, one of the leading periodicals in the cheese industry, has named the Oregon Cheese Festival one of the Ten Best Cheese Festivals.
Where: Located at the Rogue Creamery, 311 N Front St., (HWY 99) Central Point, OR 97502.
When: Saturday & Sunday March 18 & 19, 2017 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Who: The Oregon Cheese Festival is a family friendly event open to the public. Free admission to children 12 and under.
Tasting: Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Adult beverage flights are $10.
Special Guest: Brian Keyser: Brian Keyser opened Casallula Cheese and Wine Café, a tiny resaurant with a huge cheese selection, in New York City in 2007 and Casalulla at Alphabet City in Pittsburgh in 2016. Together with Chef Leigh Friend, he is the co-author of Composing the Cheese Plate, a book of easy recipes and creative ideas for fun and inventive cheese plates (Running Press, 2016). He is a co-chair of the 2017 American Cheese Society Annual Conference and Competition, chair of the ASC Scholarship Committee, and a board member of the American Cheese Education Foundation.

The 13th Annual Oregon Cheese Guild Benefit Cheesemakers Dinner will be held Friday, March 17, from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Larks Restaurant at Inn at the Commons in Medford, Oregon. The dinner will commence with an appetizer hour before featuring a four-course meal, expertly paired with local wine. The Cheesemakers Dinner will feature a Wine Grab event, providing guests with an opportunity to purchase highly valued bottles of wine for $35 or three bottles for $100. Dinner tickets are $125, which includes a cheese reception, drinks, and gratuity. Special guest, Brian Keyser, and other cheesemakers will be present to tell their stories and share their cheese.
