blake nellis & taja will present themselves in tandem with benno voorham's no.374
A new work bringing together Nellis' quirkiness, uncanny timing and Will's visceral agency and charisma, themselves explores the meta, micro and macro of the familial relationships we all share. Starting with the family-like relationship between the two dancers, themselves telescopes outward into the familial relationships that exist as threads tying our humanity together. From images of Adam and Eve as ancient parents to the theory of six degrees of separation, Will and Nellis dance their way through the joys and pains of being connected as part of one big family. We can't seem to live with or without each other.
'Will and Nellis are top shelf movers and movement inventors.' MN Artists Lightsey Darst
