Slide Effects
Slide Effects was created in late 2016 to appease the insatiable, never-ceasing public demand for more jazz trombone quintets. They come armed with classic jazz and new improvisational works for five trombones and rhythm section.
The quintet will make its debut appearance in the triangle at The Sharp Nine Gallery, January 27th at 8pm. These professional and semi-pro trombonists work around the state with musical groups including the NCJRO, Heart of Carolina, John Brown Big Band, La Fiesta Latin Jazz, and many others. Get your butt out to hear some of the awesomeist, swingyist, bad ass friggin trombone playing in the Triangle.
