SECRETO A VOCES shows the most intimate face of the artist in front of her audience. Art is inevitably a reflection of the personality of the creator and the interpreter, its deeper being is evident. And so it must be. When this happens, the stage act becomes truth and a direct communication with the public takes place. The public is then able to discover unique and vital voices perhaps whispered or veiled. Anabel Veloso works under this premise, looking for the difficult balance between tradition and the era to which she belongs and which defines her way of reaching flamenco.
COMPAÑÍA ANABEL VELOSO http://www.anabelveloso.com/es/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbGO59jH8Qo Compañía Residente en el Auditorio Roquetas de Mar Anabel Velosos prolific artistic production mirrors the courageous ease of those who feel flamenco as a strenght, creative need and almost as a clear cultural demand. Seven years of artistic carreer have shown, from its dazzling beginning with Nacidos del mar to its current active career in international lands, that the energy of youth can be as mature and responsible as the mind of those who feel it. Only seven years to grant the maturity to the artistic content of this young creator and dancer. There are no established times or ages when the singing voice is carried by the ambition of needing to create. A beautiful and admirable ambition that pauses as she reaches the stage, a need to tell and show aesthetic and choreographic worlds loaded with new means for flamenco. Anabel Veloso not only dances or designs choreographic phrases, she is ambitious because she believes that her shows should be much more, they must tell, teach and help to love the show and the dance. To see her works is to understand that her mind, sight and body are boiling, ready to put them at the service of culture and dance. She can deliver, and she can because she is brave, but also because she has a gift, the gift of not being afraid of getting herself carried by what she loves the most.
