Ceramics Workshop

This two-day workshop offers the experi- ence of creating functional or sculptural ceramic forms for beginners to intermedi- ate students. Instruction on both coil and slab techniques will be introduced along with surface textures. Clay, low-fire glazes and firing costs with be included in the material fee for items 12 in" or smaller. This class is offered to students 16 years of age or older.

Instructor: Linda Miller
Linda Miller was born in Los Angeles California where she received her BFA in Ceramics from California State University Long Beach. She later moved to the Sacramento area to earn her MFA in Studio Arts from University of California Davis. Currently, Linda teaches at many locations in the Sacramento area including Blue Line Gallery and Alpha Ceramics. Linda's work consists mostly of large-scale ceramics and mixed media instillations that capture the duality of fantasy and degradation.
