Beginning Painting with Acrylics
Students will learn how to translate value into color; the basics of mixing colors and at the same time learn color theory, with an emphasis on how to translate correct values into color to improve overall compositions.
Instructor: Susan Silvester
Susan Silvester received her MA in painting from California State University, Sacramento and her BFA from Long Island Univer- sity in Greenvale, New York. Her work has been exhibited at the Verge Center for the Arts "Temporary Gallery", Axis Gallery, the Brickhouse Gallery, and 20th Street Gallery among others. She is the recipient of the California State Fair's "Award of Excellence" and the "Art Faculty Award" at American River College. She was an Artist in Residence at the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley.

Age: 18+
Price: $35, plus $20 materials fee
