Paper Marbling class at Landis Valley
Paper marbling is at least a millennium old and, for much of that time, it has been practiced in secrecy. Paper marbling was quite popular from the 16th century to the mid-19th century and adorned official documents, ledgers, end papers of books, and even currency.
Landis Valley educator Rebecca Gray-O'Dell graduated from Millersville University with a degree in education. In her years at Landis Valley, she has learned many historic crafts that she has passed on to children and adults alike. Her current specialty is dyes.
